  • We had a wonderful time at Metalworks. It's a fantastic property and I’ll be sure to visit there again when I come to Brighton. Naomi, England. January 2014

  • Dear CityPad, I had an excellent experience, from booking back in May to my visit in November. The booking process was straightforward, and I appreciated getting the e-reminder about when my balance was due; also both Daniela and Rachel were always prompt, patient, and informative whenever I emailed with a question (many thanks!). The property manager was wonderful to deal with - I arrived on Sunday night and couldn't figure out the heater, and I contacted her the next day once I set up my UK mobile; She responded immediately, gave excellent step-by-step instructions, and was prepared to come by if I continued to experience problems (which I did not). Metalworks was exactly what I was looking for in a short-stay; as a scholar, business has brought me to Sussex to use the archives for a few years running, hence I'm familiar with Brighton, so I knew just where the property was located, I love the North Lanes, and being minutes away from the train station was perfect and convenient. The apartment was cozy, beautifully furnished, with an excellent kitchen set-up; I loved having laundry facilities on site, and the bath tub was so very relaxing!! As a single female traveller, I felt safe at all times, even when coming in late at night, the neighbourhood was very comfortable for me. My only suggestion is to update the WiFi password that CityPad provides in the arrival instructions package given to guests (the network was given as 02wireless762075, but it was actually 03wireless+sequence of numbers; and the password was different too - the information on the property's hub provided the correct info).Overall, I was thrilled with the property, would certainly recommend it to friends or family, and I look forward to staying there in the future. Donna, Canada. November 2013

We are very pleased to her you were thrilled with the service provided and the accommodation offered. We have now updated the Wi-Fi details which means that all future guests will have the correct details. City Pad

  • I just want to say what a pleasure it was to stay at metalworks. As you know I had a tricky situation where I was waiting for the completion to my flat so it was an anxious & stressful time. I found that all the staff at City Pad especially Rachel were fantastic! Debs at PTG & Sarah the property manager were absolutely brilliant! Especially when I had to extend my stay by a week. I emailed City Pad late on a Friday night & received a response within a couple of hours! I was not expecting that so was thrilled for the quick response which helped remove some of the stress. I have already recommend City Pad & Metalworks to friends & family. It was home away from home & a pleasure to stay at such a beautiful apartment! Many thanks! Suriya, England. November 2012

  • It was a very nice stay in Brighton and we were very happy with Metalworks. Everything was complying with the description in the web site so it was as we were expecting. This is really good. The location of the flat was very good either. All of the process from booking to the deposit refund including your very kind assistance was perfect. I already did lots of mouth to mouth advertising. Thank you very much and see you hopefully next time. Best regards, Asuman & Burcu Özcengiz, Turkey. October 2012

  • We shall definitely book again a flat through City Pad. We enjoyed an extremely pleasant stay at Metalworks. All the best, Sylvie, France, August 2012

  • We had such a great time at the Metalworks! It’s the perfect size for two people, has all the kitchen appliances one may need, it’s all in a very good state. The bathroom is perfect too. There is also the terrace which is lovely and ideal for breakfast outside. We’ll definitely be coming back, and we’ve already recommended the property to many friends! Thanks. Gemma, London. August 2010

  • Loved the Lego man. Some noise (apparently, not that I cared as I’m deaf) as stated in advert, but expected that with the location. Nice flat. Ember, Somerset. May 2010

  • Stunning, quirky flat situated in a relatively quiet road seconds from the wonderful North Laines. Had a wonderful relaxing holiday and the balcony is a real suntrap. Housekeeping staff friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this lovely flat and if I come to Brighton again would be more than happy to book it again. Rose, Christchurch. May 2010

  • I really enjoyed my stay at The Metalworks. It was convenient for everything. It was cosy and quirky with everything I needed and more. I would definitely return again. I had a fantastic time. Even though I arrived a lot earlier than expected. The staff could not do enough for me and I was in the apartment within minutes.......Thanks guys. June, Perth, Australia. October 2009

  • We had a fabulous week here. The apartment is beautiful and the location is perfect. I have no criticisms to make at all! You really can’t go wrong if you book this apartment! I hope to be coming again very soon. Louise, Codicote. September 2009

  • We spent a wonderful week in this flat in March 2009. The flat is a studio - one large room, but it's well divided so that it feels cosy. The furnishings are quirky and delightful, many of them made of metal, in keeping with the location. There's a lovely little roof terrace which we used a lot, despite it being March. It was great having a washer since we were there for a week. The location is terrific. It's on a quiet street, just between one of the main streets of the North Laine and the Level. Pretty much anything you'd want to do in Brighton is within walking distance, including the train station. We had a rental car and had no trouble parking it nearby. The only problem we had was several nights in a row, after the pubs closed, there was a couple having screaming fights in German on the street below. But this is something you could encounter anywhere, so we didn't hold it against the flat, itself. All in all, I would happily stay there again and I have recommended it to friends several times. Carolyn, England. March 2009
